Remounting the motor – JB Weld epoxy

Once again I tried to mount the motor without welding….. And after try screws and epoxy  I’ve come to the conclusion that you really need to weld the plate to the trucks.

Someone suggested that I try the epoxy “JB weld” which is supposed to be a super strong epoxy (Check out some your tube videos about the stuff). So I ruffed up the metal, then cleaned it all down, glued it all together and waited a few days for it to dry.

All was good for about 30 minutes of riding but eventually the plate fell off.

So I do really need to weld….. I was hoping I could find a way to do this with the tools i had to hand but I’m going to stop messing around and take it to a local welder to attach.

One other minor thing I noticed while riding it the screws through the wheel were unscrewing themselves/moving around a bit. Thinking some type of giant washer to screw them through might be an idea to keep them in there place.
