So I’m up and running. It turns out doing this the second time making a new motor mount etc was much faster than the first time round. It took me some tweaking of the belt tension today and making sure all 4 screws were in the motor mount but I’m up and moving fast. Actually very fast. It has so much acceleration at it makes me feel like the board is going to jump away from me. I haven’t got near 50% throttle yet as its crazy fast.
Here are a few more pictures of the new board with the new cogs and motor bracket. I will post some more build photos, overall costs, video, GPS speed/distance information soon. I’m also thinking about making the controller smaller and making some tweaks to give it smoother acceleration as the throttle is rather sensitive, any upgrading the wheels at least.
